Arian

This walkabout, inspired by welsh folklore (the Mabinogion) is an interactive piece made for festivals. The Spider puppet, godess Arian, is the focus of the story. She is the weaver of fates. The audience are encourage to come and meet arian by her followers 'the weavers', after proving themselves to her and worshiping her she picks a lucky participant to read their fate. As Arian raises her bum she produces different coloured threads for the participant to choose from. Once picked, they take their chosen thread and weave it into the 'tapestry of time' and are read their fate in the form of a poem.
